It’s not completely fair cause Faber gave serious answers but at the beginning of an interview he’s always charmed by nature which makes him for real I think.

To further follow up previous post:

According to the Montevideo Convention on the Rights and Duties of States inn 1933 which codified the declarative theory of statehood as accepted as part of customary international law says in Article 1:
“The state as a person of international law should possess the following qualifications: (a) a permanent population; (b) a defined territory; (c) government; and (d) capacity to enter into relations with the other states.”

EU do have a permanent population – the Lisbon Treaty makes all a EU citizen, EU do have a clear defined territory uphold by each member state, EU do have a government, a parliament and justice system and now as of July 07 2010 it has the capacity to enter into relations with other states through the Lisbon Treaty and the European External Action Service.

Together all this qualifies EU for being a state
    – a United States of Europe –
    and nobody reports on it!

  23. Gordo says:

    Tremble, Banks, Tremble

    James K. Galbraith

“What to do? To restore the rule of law means first a rigorous audit of the banks and of the Federal Reserve. This means investigations—Representative Marcy Kaptur has proposed adding a thousand FBI agents to this task. It means criminal referrals from the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, from the regulators, from Congress, and from the new management of troubled banks as they clean house. It means indictments, prosecutions, convictions, and imprisonments. The model must be the clean-up of the Savings and Loans, less than 20 years ago, when a thousand industry insiders went to prison. Bankers must be made to feel the power of the law in their bones.”

Amazing 2 1/2 years later and we have not even started.

  24. Youri Carma says:

Funny Story from Tyler Durden – Today’s wtf moment

SEC Chief Information Officer Finds God, Quits Regulator To Become Deacon

Today’s wtf moment of the day is brought to you by the SEC and god. In a stunning development, we uncover that the SEC actually has had a Chief Information Officer for the past two years (yes, we loled). In an even more stunning development, the SEC has disclosed that this CIO is leaving the organization, and has decided to join the metaphorical Goldman Sachs by doing god’s work on earth… but not at 200 West, and is instead joining the church as a deacon. “The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Charles Boucher has decided to leave the agency after serving as its Chief Information Officer (CIO) since 2008. His plans include not-for-profit work and completion of studies in preparation for ordination as a Deacon in his church next spring.” This is merely confirmation that Mr. Boucher must have been rather compromised when Chief Information Officering: he should know, as most other far dumber SEC henchman have figured out, that Goldmanliness is Godliness. Had he gone to Goldman, he would have already been promoted to Pope, in exchange for a few indulgences on behalf of the Abacus and Timberwolf sins, and have DMA access to High Frequency Communications directly to the One.

  25. Steven Moyers says:

in·no·va·tion is learned on the job during the design and manufacturing process, In the work area. I make 1/6 and 1/4 scale wood pondboats. Even at 3.00 hr. plus materials Americans can’t or won’t buy a real toy made buy an American. We’ve let them ship the whole thing away. Wait it gets worse then we the US build 5.5 trillion dollars worth of nuclear weapons and light the fuse at our birthday party, wow, surprise. No it gets better we sell the needed triggers to our neighbors so we can throw them at each other to prove some forgotten point out in the yard after cake and ice cream, what a f!#ken party!

  26. kwazimota says:

youri carma .i read the insurance lawyers want no survivors of a plane crash .that it makes calculating easier ..that methane fire ball idea has got all the makins of a good movie and biblical themed too.the eye of katrina was something, they gonna have to try hard to top that .

  27. Youri Carma says:

The big crash – America plunges into Depression – Young Americans have given up watching the news. It’s too depressing http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/65578,news-comment,news-politics,a-new-drone-base-reason-to-celebrate-in-jobless-us-depression-america

Of course America is wildly rich. How else could it find room in its heart for the legal tax write-offs that allow Americans to deduct contributions to Israelis establishing illegal settlements on the West Bank? How could it pay the $2 million in direct and indirect bribes to the Taliban a week – or is it a day? – in Afghanistan to allow its supply convoys down roads so that the counter-insurgency against the Taliban can continue, if not prosper?

Counter-insurgency means drones that kill civilians and do the Taliban no end of good. But drones mean jobs in jobless America. The Wisconsin National Guard is planning to build a new $8m base for unmanned drones. Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri is to be a drone base control. In South Dakota, Rapid City’s nearby Ellsworth Force Base also recently won a drone contract.

In none of these places was there much of anything but joy at the news. “There was great news for Ellsworth Force Base and for the Rapid City community,” declared the local Black Hills Fox Channel. Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton said he’d worked for a year to win the Predator. The Rapid City Journal editorial page was ecstatic: “Ellsworth and its many supporters have done Rapid City and South Dakota proud.”

  28. Youri Carma says:

Well there are rumors that as soon as the mayhem with Iran starts and the hostile False Flag fires are fired up they (the American Secret gov.) is gonna set of a nuke in Chicago to blame it on the Iraniens.

  39. Bonn says:

BP affixes new cap on Gulf oil well; tests ahead
    Whew !!!
NEW ORLEANS – BP robots attached a new, tighter-fitting cap on top of the gushing Gulf of Mexico oil leak Monday, raising hopes that the crude could be kept from polluting the water for the first time in nearly three months.

Placing the cap on top of the leak was the climax of two days of delicate preparation work and a day of slowly lowering it into position a mile below the sea. The capping project — akin to building an underwater Lego tower — is just a temporary fix, but the oil giant’s best hope for containing the spill.

The next unknown is whether the 18-foot-high, 150,000-pound metal stack of pipes and valves will work. BP plans to start tests Tuesday, gradually shutting the valves to see if the oil stops or if it starts leaking from another part of the well.

Freakin I tote tey shut it tey still gotta test it WTF fingers crossed

  50. MirrorMirror says:

    Wall Street Crooks…

I suppose it didn’t go unnoticed that the BP News about the new cap being a success was “posted” after the markets closed yesterday.

The Call Option activity between 34$ – 40$ was pretty strong of course … before the markets closed.

Strange how this type of news – for many older examples – ALWAYS hits the wires AFTER markets have closed.

    LOL !

  51. MirrorMirror says:

The £276,000 primary head: Staggering salary revealed days after pledge to cap head teachers’ pay

And they complain about Harvard & Yale .
    LOL !

  52. Metoo says:

    @ mirror mirror

I did read that and I see its been on the telly news as well. I find it amusing that the unions are up in arms about it, these are the same union leaders that get fat cat pay whilst most of the members get normal wages. What they dont stress is that it covers back dated pay and overtime for two years, bubdle anyones wages for two years and it is more duh!!! and have any of the daily mirror mob ever worked in an inner city school before ? no, if they can pay millions to bankers and thousands to other so called professionals then what they pay that teacher pales into insignificance.

Id be far happier if the news and papers concentrated on made such a noise about those who have sucked the system dry for eons and what contribution they put back into society

more spin from the klepos again

  53. Sam says:

    Hi everyone!

  54. Sam says:

I really think I’m starting to get through to people by constantly nagging them about taxes. I use the example that if you punish a dog for taking a shit it might be a good idea to catch him in the act. If you punish a dog after the fact he just thinks you are an asshole. if you tax a man for working…. make any sense?

  55. Cat Alberts says:

Someone else asking that simple question: why isn’t Washington taking on Wall Street?

  56. Peter Karwacki says:

When one is a doom sayer – nobody will thank you if you are right, and nobody will thank you when you are wrong.

Max: for Pete’s sake, lets go north of the line here, try and modulate your negativity and give people some options periodically. For example, they can “Rise Up!”

  57. alan says:

I really enjoyed the show, particuarly the second half re German methods of doing things.
People need incentives, ( I am not talking tax cuts) a sence of belonging, stable environments.
Every man for himself, is promoted because it is the new way to divide and rule. It is generally acknowledged that there are various intelligences. (People have strenghts and weaknesses). Unfortunatly the only talent that has any value placed on it in the U.S. and many other Western countries is the talent to scam, and manipulate for individual gain.

  58. gonzomarx says:

    a little late but
How dare besmirch the good name of Deviancy with it’s proud tradition of art, music and thought by linking to scum like Day traders, for shame Max.

  59. Greg says:

Welcome to the USA, max & Stacey, I’m hearing 07.10.2010 and appreciate your grasp of the US workplace/educational non-system. I’m one of those forced into the “day-trading/gamer” profession, I confess. I thought moving to LA back in 2000 I could land an engineering job but without already possesing secret clearance there was nothing but “cookie cutter” requirements i.e. “we want to hire you to do what you already did for five years or more”.
Exporting jobs of course is not new, nor is it more republican than democrat – as a contracting scientist funded via NASA, we were bombarded with morale-reducing lectures on how you have to get versatile for several career changes, which was a load of crap – the only real career security came if you became a federal employee, i.e. burrowed in and tenured.

  60. naomi says:

The American people need to hear about German workers, how they are paid, the benefits and the fact that many of them are on the boards of the companies they work for.

Americans have been lied to about those horrible unions and that’s why the jobs went overseas. Noooooo, they went over there because the owners were not going to share in the profits of the company. And the owners are very lazy and short sighted and addicted to becoming obscenely rich in comparison to the workers and citizens of the US. That’s why the jobs went there. That’s why.

  61. alan says:

@ Greg that’s about how it go’s in Australia now too.
    Unions have no real power.
If you do what you are told, no matter how talentless, you have a job for life in the government or MIC.
If you try to argue your case for better ways of doing things, its goodbye.
So much talent is wasted and so much scum floats to the top. Its no wonder countries that follow the British U.S. model are in the shit.
Education is where it all starts.

  62. dare says:

Yeah listen I’m just not going to listen to the USA ones until there’s a commercial-free version

  63. Schralper says:

    global warming? climate change?
yeah it’s man made & it’s called AEROSOL spraying, aka Chemtrails!
other than that it’s nuthin but another scare tactic.
energy, all forms, is the grease that makes modern life possible.
do you really think the powers that be are gonna allow us serfs to have some form of energy that they don’t have complete control over?
how many $’s does it take to buy off any new energy tech? or if that doesn’t work a false arrest, etc…..

  64. Graeme says:

‘Feral zombies poking through the wasteland of social networking sites’

Good work! You ought both right a book!
